Five Guidelines for Writing Bullet Points

Bullets are useful for presenting information crisply. Follow these guidelines for writing bullets that work:

  • End the introductory statement with a colon
  • Begin each bullet with a verb
  • Keep bullet points short
  • Omit punctuation
  • Keep them all positive OR all negative
