Instructional design

We follow a robust instructional design process.

We begin with a practical approach to analysis which:

  • Identifies the finishing line required by the business
  • Extracts the workplace competencies contributing to that finishing line or unpacks the relevant unit standards
  • Unpacks the competencies/standards into usable chunks of learning
  • Specifies the assessment criteria

Next, we build a learning design which:

  • Specifies the needs of the learners
  • Chunks the content into lessons
  • Specifies the optimum learning methodology for each lesson
  • Calculates the design and development time

Finally we move to the development stage during which we:

  • Write facilitator guides and learner guides for facilitated content
  • Create appropriate formative assessment tools
  • Build storyboards for online learning
  • Create visual aids
